A Safe Place in the Storms
"Then all the trees of the forest will sing for Joy."
Psalms 96:12
My precious brothers and sisters in Christ. It feels so good to be able to write to you again. I have been faithful in praying for all the special prayer requests that I have received from you and continue to keep all those who are apart of the body of Christ in my prayers. I prayer that your are still experiencing the grace and peace that is bestowed upon all who believe in his glorious name. Praise the Lord most High. He is worthy.
I must start off this new message of hope by being very honest with all of you. That last few months have been very hard for me. I have asked God many questions during this period of distress and often thought about looking in another direction. It has seemed to me that lately everyone has been going through a hard time. From the Nation seeking answers to my pre-Calculus grade. Things have been tough but God has been faithful and now I see that all the more . When I was younger and even now I have always been amazed by storms. My father and I used to sit in the garage and watch the mighty storms with the powerful wind and rain and resounding thunder and the flashes of lighting that stretched from that dark sky to the earth where we sat in awe. We observed the power of all this from that safe place in which we resided. However, one can never truly understand the power of the storm by just observing it and one can never really appreciate that safe place without feeling the true strength of the storm.
It is now the 5th of November and it seems we have been having some beautiful weather. I am not saying God controls the weather in relation to my emotions but it sure seems like it. Maybe its all in the perspective but before it felt like to me that it wouldn't stop raining. Day after day it rained and it was cold, real cold! But now its Beautiful! Sooner or later though, I know it will get cold again, winter will come with a bitter breeze and the storms may seem to follow. But I have been through the storm before and now I know the privilege I have to sit in that safe place. This safe place is in the power and glory of my mighty king. Jesus Christ.
Someone once said your in one of these three situations at any point in your life: 1) In a storm 2) Just came out of a storm 3) Just about to begin in a storm. I have built my house upon the rock and even though I too will be hit by the storm it is I who will remain standing because of the foundation laid upon the rock. The rock of salvation. The French philosopher and writer Milton continued to write after he went blind. The German composer Johann Sebastian Bach continued to compose music after he went deaf. The music we live by is the music in our hearts. It is the love we find only through Christ. We must listen too it. It is perfect and sweet. And plays a sweet melody that only comes in the morning light. So whether your in a storm, just got out of a storm, or about to go into a storm listen to the music in your heart and Gods peace will embrace you forever and ever. Amen
2 men sat in jail one looked out and all he saw were bars the other looked out and all he saw were stars. Its all in our perspective!!!
