We Are Responsible For Each Other

As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.
Proverbs 27:17

We are responsible for each other, because we are all in this together. We need to keep each other in God's will. It is their decision alone, but we can help them along to keep them in the light. When someone falls we need to pick them right back up and help them get back on the right track. And most importantly, we must not let petty differences or issues divided us. We must stay in unity.

Unity is a very important thing. Without unity we are ineffective and won't reach as much people as we could if we were united. The main thing that takes away unity is petty differences and issues. We have all seen them, even in our group, they are everywhere. We have to overcome them. Here are some steps that can help over come the petty differences and issues:

Be Single-minded in purpose (focus), in other words, focus on God. Adopt God's Priorities as your own. Keep moving forward spiritually, for example, your faith and your worshipping. Having a rejoicing mind.

We all need to be asking everyone how are they doing, and how their devotional life and spiritually life is. It might not sound like it would cheer up anyone or make them feel like a part of the group, but you would be surprised. It does help, because I know I love for people to ask me how I'm doing.

And as James said in his last devotional, we need to keep our focus on Jesus. That is a hard to do with all of the things life will throw at you, but if you keep your focus on Jesus you will get closer to them and will have this amazing feeling. So remember if you are going through a struggle you can always call me and I know there are others in the youth group that you can call. You might think that no one will understand and be able to understand it, but you might be surprised because we have all went through problems and struggles.

So remember help out each other, and keep your focus on Jesus.
