My New Friend

"but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother."
Proverbs 18:24

Have you ever tried to talk to your favorite celebrity or to just get their autograph? I know I have and more times than once they have passed me by without even giving me a glance of their eye. However, I have found me a new celebrity and you can to!! This one listens to every word that I say, and has even built a gold mansion for me He has offered to help me with all my problems and even died a horrible death for me once. Does all this sound to good to be true? Well it isn't!!

There are a few things we need to do however before our new friend gives us all these things: 1. First we need to call out his name. Romans 10:13 2. Make sure when we do call out his name it is in repentance, faith, and total trust. 3. Begin to build on the best friendship you can ever have.

I know a lot of you already saved Christians think you already know all of this, but I have found out from my own personal experiences that when I am suffering the most it is because I am lacking one of these basic necessities. Christianity is something simple often made to look way to complex. It is simply about having a personal relationship with a new best friend that compares to no one. This new friend might surprise you!

You are now best friends with a KING that is worthy of our praise. Why would a king want to help us or even be our friends? I will let you ask him that question yourself.

The next time you see someone who does not give you the time or the day, think about the one who has already built a mansion for you. I hope and pray that you will seek to grow in God every hour, every minute, and every second of the day. Look vertical (to God) and not horizontal (the world), remember each other in prayer, and strengthen your walk with him through the Word. Life of a Christian is very exciting but there is no half and half it is either all or nothing.
