A CHRISTmas Star
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"
John 3:16
My precious brothers and sisters in Christ, I pray that the Lords Love is lighting your way through this wonderful time of year and that your heart is one with His. I want to thank all of you who read these messages and encourage me for you are truly a blessing in my life. May God bless you with an abundance of His mercy and grace.
Today I would like to share with you a true CHRISTmas miracle. This passed weekend I was blessed to go to Cincinnati with my youth group to help with the giving of gifts to less fortunate child of God. This was through an inner-city ministry there known as Common Ground. ( Proverbs 2: 22) When we arrived things were a little crazy and we were ready to get to work, but before we began one of the leaders there told us about this miracle that was taking place among them.
About a week ago the mission had collected all the gifts that were going to be given out to each family from their sponsors at a local church. However, someone thought that evil could prevail and broke into this mission stealing all the gifts that had been given. The news found out about this grinch and immediately sent out some people to get coverage on it. As they told this story the workers were afraid that they would have to tell each family that they did not have their gifts. But God being the King he is was not done working yet. Suddenly presents from everywhere began to pour in. One after another. Big and small. There were suddenly more gifts than they had before. Filling the offices of every worker in this small mission. When the day came to give these gifts out they had enough for what would usually be given out in 3 CHRISTmas. The Lord had did all this in less than a week. The mission was also given an Alarm for the building and installed at no cost. The news also covered the handing out of the presents. Letting everyone see this miracle that had been performed. Telling all of Cincinnati the Hope that is found in Jesus Christ. One other miracle happened when one of the workers were being interviewed. A long lost friend saw her on TV and then was able to contact her and get together.
This was not an accident by any means. For the Lord promises to give us more than we could ever think or imagine if we give Him back what he has already given us. " Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6: 38
My only regret this CHRISTmas is not being able to give more. If you could only of seen the face of those children as they received their gifts. This CHRISTmas thank the Lord for His Hope, His blessings, His peace, His Joy, His strength, And His Love. I encourage you to "light your world and let the Love of God shine through in the little things you do. Light your world. Though your light may be only reaching two or three. Light your world." For The Lord is my light and I will not keep him a secret any longer. When the Light of Jesus shines you will see that all things are beautiful. Even a baby that lies in an old manger or a beaten man that bleeds on an old rugged Cross can be beautiful when His unfailing love lights your way.
So this CHRISTmas take time to see the New star that has always been there, and always will. May God bless you and Merry Christmas.
